Dusk at the Duomo
After a long day wandering through the narrow streets of Florence, taking in the city's
wondrous treasures at every step, I was drawn back to the Duomo and its campanile (bell tower). Their
stunning neo-gothic marble facades were now painted a pinkish orange by the setting sun.
I snapped this picture in front of the Baptistry which cast a shadow over the Duomo. I then
climbed to the top of the terracotta-orange cupola to drink in the spectacular panoramic views
of the city.
One of the most memorable sights of my visit to Florence, and indeed, to Italy.
