Hundreds celebrate Indian Spring Festival – Holi (Festival of Colors) at the Sunnyvale Hindu Temple. Indians and
locals alike enjoyed Raas Rang (Colorful powder throwing) with live music for 3 hours followed by a traditional
Indian feast.
Hundreds flocked to the Sunnyvale Hindu Temple on the last full moon day of the Indian calendar year on March 30, 2013
to celebrate Indian Spring Festival – Holi (Festival of Colors).
At the Sunnyvale Temple, the event starts by welcoming everyone with a “Thandai” (cold drink) at 11am, followed by
Raas Rang colorful powder throwing until 2 pm. Live music is provided by a 3-person drumming band and a DJ continues
to play all the popular numbers related to the festival. Dance instructors guided the revelers to enjoy their dancing.
Tradition Indian food was served afterwards.

Dance

Orange Dust
Five-year-old Ansh had a bird's-eye view of the Holi celebration at Sunnyvale Hindu Temple riding on the shoulder of her father under a dusting of orange-colored powder (Raas Rang) thrown by revelers.

Locals joined in the fun at Indian Holi (Festival of Colors).
