Talk – Pulitzer Prize Winner Afghan Photojournalist Massoud Hossaini

 Massoud Speaks Massoud Hossaini, Pulitzer Prize Winner Afghan Photojournalist, tells his story. Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist, Massoud Hossaini, showed his work and shared his experience as a photojournalist in his native Afghanistan. Massoud Hossaini is a photojournalist for Agence France-Presse, and winner of the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Photography. Hossaini was born in Kabul in 1981 during the Soviet war in Afghanistan. His family fled to Iran when he was six months old. After the September 11 attacks, Hossaini returned to Afghanistan where he studied photography. He joined AFP in 2007. This event was organised by the Journalism and Media Studies Center of the University of Hong Kong.  The Winning Image By Massoud Hossaini, Pulitzer Prize Winner for Breaking News Photography 2012.  Captivated Alex Hoegberg from Stockholm, Sweden, was captivated by the images and Massoud's story.  Engrossed Qu Congyi from Nantong, Jiangsu, China, found the talk engrossing.  Question Questions from the audience.  Lucky? Professor Francis Chin asked if Massoud was just lucky to be there.  Taping Many were interested and taping the talk.  Director Ying Chan, Director of Journalism and Media Studies Center, organized the talk.  Captivated Bebo White of Stanford University, from San Francisco, found the talk most interesting.  Admirer Qu Congyi, JMSC student from China, had her picture taken with Massoud. |
