The Floating Mosque
The Masjid Bandaraya (City Mosque) Kota Kinabalu sits on the shores of Likas Bay,
on the South China Sea. It is partially surrounded by a man-made lagoon, thus
nicknamed 'The Floating Mosque'. With a maximum capacity of 12,000 worshipers
it is the second largest mosque of the city.

Resurrection and Disappearance Again of True Suffrage Panda
Now you see it! Now you don't! The plot thickens...
Mr/Ms Hong Kong Panda with "True Universal Suffrage" in Chinese characters
etched on the back, photographed on 20 July at the papier mache pandas
exhibition in Jardine House, and mysteriously disappeared within 24 hours
(see previous two Photo of the Day below) has been miraculously resurrected
at a less conspicuous location in Exchange Square within 15 minutes of
enquiry to Hong Kong Land who claims that the pandas are "randomly
moved everyday".
However, the resurrection proved to be short-lived when it disappeared
again after this reporter returns in a few hours. Hong Kong Land has not
answered further enquiries.
This saga is stranger than fiction. Will the creative owner of the True Suffrage
Panda demands the return of his/her innovation to the exhibition?

Mystery Disappearance of Hong Kong True Suffrage Panda
Mr/Ms Hong Kong Panda with "True Universal Suffrage" in Chinese characters
etched on the back, photographed at 4:22 pm yesterday (see Photo of the Day
on 20 July below) at the papier mache pandas exhibition in Jardine House
has mysteriously disappeared within 24 hours.
It is unclear whether the panda has been summarily removed for taking too
strong a political stance (according to Hong Kong Land who owns Jardine
House?) or has been arrested by the police for the act of civil
disobedience of Occupy Central.
This is potentially an infringement on freedom of expression. Is this the
fate of Hong Kong people's quest for True Universal Suffrage?

Carrie Lam Wrong Again
Legislators from across the political spectrum heaped criticism on the Chief Secretary's
report today for distorting the public's views on political reform and accusing the
government of lacking sincerity.
This photo was taken at Queen's Pier in 2007 when Lam was Secretary of Planning and
the protesters' T-shirts read 'wrong again'. Lam decided to demolish Queen's Pier
in the face of mounting protests of conservationists.
