Puerta del Sol
Plaza de la Puerta del Sol, the official centre point
of the radial network of Spanish roads in Madrid,
marked on a plaque as 'KM 0' opposite the Casa de
Correos doorway.
The Puerta del Sol originated as one of the gates in the
city wall that surrounded Madrid in the 15th century.
